Hydron

Hydron is bulky, sneaky and trained to kill. Lacking respect and empathy for others, even his fellow Angels know to be wary of him. His face is marked with several ugly scars around the mouth.
Hydron
Evadrion

Evadrion

Evadrion does not remember much of her old self. She lost consciouscness years ago and since Angels are never meant to sleep, her unexpected nap stole her memory. She is focused and strong-willed, ready to walk again on the path to become a Guardian.

Metatron

Metatron is Evadrion's improvised mentor. He wears the honorific title of Father of Angels and is known to be the oldest creature alive on earth. No one knows what his three swords are for and no one has ever lived to witness them wielded.
Metatron
Constance

Constance

Constance is at the source of the Angels' system they called the Guardians. Derivating from the principle that Angels are, in fact, a superior and more advanced race, Constance preaches that it is their duty to protect a carefully crafted world order.

Agathron

Organized, thoughtful and cool-tempered, Agathron is a number one agent and reliable Seraphon. She is a watcher, guarding the land borders and relating the intelligence from several other agents in the field, including Selethriel, Enniel and Autron. These agents rely on her for any intervention by force.
Agathron
The lady of Astor

The Lady of Astor

A mysterious figure equipped with a lot of teeth and an immensely powerful sword that she calls a Matterforged.

She commands the Diabolics, who address her as a lady. Both Astorians (a more military-oriented kind) and Heytorians (a Diabolic breed of savants and archers) seem to obey her.

Eithne

The Grainne

An infamous witch terrifying the Dragons in the vicinity of Tumpestre. No proof as to who or what she is but she claims to know quite a bit about Angels and how to hunt them.

She has been seen around Crestenoire in the past.

Arristan

Arristan

A Heytorian under the command of the Lady of Astor.
He recently lost a son to the deadly Angels' luminescent arrows.

Selethriel

Distrustful of Metatron's intention and loyalty, Ravan hired this red-eyed guy at his court instead of his assigned Angel counselor. As it turns out, the supposedly Heytorian dude is an Angel in disguise. Selethriel is highly interested in the archival past and borderline obsessed with the amputated wing trophee in the temple. He is also genuinely concerned about Ravan's safety. The Grainne doesn't know that she is after him.
Selethriel
Ravan

Lord Ravan of Tumpestre

Ravan is famous for rising from the streets into lordship by waging wars and conquering the unpregnable fortress of Tumpestre from the hands of its previous holders. He is bright, ruthless and highly suspicious of Angels.

There are rumors as to him being Deprived (a Dragon who cannot shift into serpent form). These rumors are further encouraged by Ravan's unusual respect for the Dragons of lower classes, notably the Deprived. He is, however, just a perceptive man who sees no reason to treat other less respectfully under the pretext of a lesser birth.

Mazer

Mazer

A Deprived Dragon who works for Ravan in the fortress of Tumpestre. He does the dirty work, mostly.

Mazer was not born in Tumpestre. He followed Ravan in all his war campaigns and trusts him in his intuition and wit. He probably appreciates him as well for the respect he shows to the Deprived, such as himself.

Laig

Laig

Laig is a nobody working under Mazer's orders. He is a healthy young, enthusiastic Dragon and just like most of them, he is terrified of the Grainne, awed by Angels and has never heard of the Diabolics. He hasn't even seen the one who sits at his lord's court.

Tristan

Tristan

Tristan is a very strong Dragon soldier who, like most of his kind, is missing a piece of nose and a tooth or two. Fortunately for him he also lacks wit. Bless him.

Azazel

Azazel

A mysterious Angel renegade who should have been dead. Constance, before becoming the Source, was sent by Metatron to kill him. Helped by the Diabolics, Azazel survived his grievous wounds but lost more than half of his skin in the process, making it difficult for him to properly absorb sunlight. He is always hungry and cranky, also a bit bitchy and treacherous. Eva and him were allies once.
Perceval

Perceval

Diplomatic envoy, Perceval is the Proteusian mediator when signing the peace at the appointment of Constance as the Source. The Proteusians were not yet engaged in military fashion against Angels when Evadrion was put to sleep.

Mordigor

Mordigor, Lord of Crestenoire

Mordigor is a Dragon Lord ruling to the South-East of Tumpestre, a region neighboring the citadel of Enneth.

He holds the darkest of reputation amongst the rest of the Dragons, notably for nurturing good terms with the population of Enneth, infamously formed of Heytorians and renegade Angels (or worse). He is also the only Dragon who has learned to read and write. He was very likely taught by Heytorians and is therefore quite dangerously learned.

Like Ravan, he refuses to bend the knee to Angels.
